Meenakari Painting

Meenakari painting is known for ornamenting surfaces with its distinctive motifs and dense, delicate designs created by heating and mixing colored, powdered glass on a substrate which can be metal, ceramics or glass. Unlike other art forms which developed their artistic style in India, Meenakari was originally the art form of Safavid Iran and was brought to Indian grounds via the Mughals.
